Ronan Chris Murphy works around the world in the wide extremes of music. He spent several years as a performing/touring musician before getting into production and engineering and quickly gained a reputation as producer / mixer for some of the most respected musicians in the world including King Crimson, Terry Bozzio, Tony Levin, Martin Sexton, Jamie Walters, and Steve Morse. John Rodd
Stereo Recording & Avoiding Technical Mistakes in Recording . John Rodd lives in Los Angeles and has worked internationally as a recording engineer since 1989. He has worked with 'the best of the best' in rock, pop, jazz and classical, with a particular emphasis on orchestral recording and music for film and television. He was on staff as orchestral scoring recordist at the legendary Newman Scoring Stage at 20th Century Fox from 1997 to 2004, where he worked on all three Matrix films, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Sixth Sense, and over 150 other feature films.
Since 2004 John has been completely freelance from Fox, working as a recording engineer and scoring mixer. Recent credits include "Primeval" for John Frizzell and Touchstone / Disney, "The Nine" for Steve Bramson and Warner Bros / ABC, "The Baker" for Alex Wurman, "BladeStorm" for Jamie Christopherson and Soundelux, and "Bastards of the Party" for Han Chung and HBO. In addition to working at a wide variety of recording and mixing studios, John owns a private studio for recording, surround sound mixing, and mastering. John has been featured in several industry publications internationally, most recently in a feature interview in "Mix Magazine"
Liz Redwing
Program Coordinator.
Liz Redwing is a music industry veteran, getting her start at MCA records, and later moving to Interscope Music and Atlantic Records. She worked in artist management with Tsunami Entertainment, Michael Dixon Management and Roger Davies Management before starting her own producer management and consulting company. Liz coordinates all scheduling and admissions for Home Recording Boot Camp. She can assist out of town students facilitate accommodations and transportation needs, as well as assist international students with proof of admission for immigration purposes.

Stephen Marsh of Stephen Marsh Mastering was the former chief mastering engineer of the Sony Music Studios West, where he garnered his first gold albums before the age of 21. His diverse credits include the likes of Ginuwine, B2K, Incubus, Mudvayne and the Ataris. Stephens master class at Home Recording Boot Camp helps musicians recording at home better understand the process and value of mastering, as well as providing tips and guidelines to help make the most of the mastering process once your mixes are done. Pat Sample is the owner and chief engineer of Paradise Sound, a studio he started as a small basements studio in a small town that grew into an incredible mountain top recording retreat on par with the best studios in London, New York and LA.
At the Index, Washington Boot Camps (held at Paradise Sound) Pat teaches workshops on studio care and maintenance as well as sharing his knowledge and personal experience about the process of making substantial studio upgrades.
