World Class Instructors * Intense * Affordable * Fun
Finally, a recording school for musicians with a passion for recording. Founded by Producer/Mixer Ronan Chris Murphy (King Crimson, Steve Morse, Tony Levin, Chucho Valdes...), Home Recording Boot Camp is a new kind of school that teaches musicians what they really need to know to make better recordings. Our students range from major label acts, to developing artists and week end warriors that have come from North America, Europe and the South Pacific. Any experienced engineer will tell you that there is a world of difference between engineering and knowing how to operate a home pro tools system, but there are few opportunities for musicians to learn the skills they really need to master recording and unlock their creativity. Home Recording Boot Camp is all about the art and the craft of making great records.
In stark contrast to the bigger recording schools that can cost tens of thousands of dollars, and take six months to two years to complete, Home Recording Boot Camp is an intense, fun and effective way to master the core skills of recording and mixing and make dramatic improvements in their recordings. Every instructor in these small classes is a working professional with major label credits, and an impressive resume and discography. Home Recording Boot Camp fits into your life, and gives you the skills to make great recordings on your own without putting your music career or your day job on hold (or putting a second mortgage on your home!)
Home Recording Boot Camp is also a great place for graduates of biggers schools to get practical recording skills they may not have been taught. You will learn recording skills that you can start using in your own recordings right away.
You will not be spending money learning the automation systems of half million dollar consoles that you may never work on, but you will learn how to get a great kick drum or guitar sound, or fine tune a mix from engineers who do just that for some of the top musicians in the world.
You will learn what it takes to make better recordings regardless of what recording format you use. These workshops teach core skills, recording fundamentals and the art of applying these skills whether its on a 4-track cassette, Pro Tools or a top of the line analog 2-inch 24-track.
